Denisse Andrea

I have completed approximately 70 hours of class with Denisse and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Since day one, my expectations have been consistently exceeded. My comprehension skills, both verbal and written, have greatly improved. I feel that the classes are absolutely crucial for getting the necessary conversational practice in Spanish. Every session is formative and enriching. She maintains constant focus and engagement, and she is able to hold interesting conversations on an unlimited number of topics, which makes learning very dynamic. The teacher strongly considers my learning goals and desires, adapting the content to my needs. She is always positive, patient, and in great spirits. Her enthusiasm is contagious and makes every lesson a pleasure. And she possesses an almost "supernatural" ability to decipher the meaning of incomplete or faulty sentences. This reduces frustration and encourages you to keep speaking without fear of making mistakes. A perfect choice!!

Denisse as a Spanish teacher is really the best fit you can imagine. Her English ist excellent and this helps me as a German native to get along quicker thinking from English to Spanish. The lessons are very refreshing and you'll not get bored. Sometimes also challenging, if you have not learned your vocabulary. But Denise has the ability to raise the bar slowly to thrive your progress.

Denisse has a great personality for teaching - she is friendly, engaging, and talkative. Her accent is neutral and easy to understand. She is super-helpful and cares about the student's learning goals. She also has a wealth of knowledge about Bolivia and its culture, and is therefore a great source to learn more about this fascinating country. Very highly recommended.

Denisse has been so helpful in explaining grammar and she gives me opportunities to stretch my language abilities, while supporting the process. The class is fun and interesting! We laugh a lot and speak a lot of Spanish. She is great at making connections from what I already know to something new that I can learn. This is a great way to make the learning stick! I am grateful for such an excellent teacher!

I have worked with Denisse for over 6 months. I believe she is the best spanish teacher I have had. For context, I am in my 40s and a professor/clinician in healthcare. I have taken spanish classes for about two years--both immersive in Mexico for a year and through iTalki. I feel I have learned the most with Denisse, and with her help, I have gone from no Spanish, to being able to spend a month in a Bolivia speaking only Spanish with my in-laws. Denisse is not only incredibly prepared every session, but she is also able to meet me where I am on any given day. Her creativitiy in lessons is amazing, and she always strikes the perfect balance of making you feel comfortable and pushing you to go past what you think you could do. She is flexible, supportive, smart, and genuinely a kind person. As an educator myself, I can appreciate good teaching methods, and I feel like I learn something from her approach every session. Highly recommend trying a session if you are looking.

Denesse is wonderful! She's patient and teaches so well. She allows a lot of opportunity for you to speak, and she is very encouraging when you do speak. She has a great personality while providing a great learning experience.
