Natsumi is a truly exceptional teacher. I've taken around 20 lessons with her at this point, and they have been worth every penny. There's the fact that you learn tons of new vocabulary and grammar. But more importantly, Natsumi has the right attitude. She is supportive and easy to talk to — but at the same time, willing and able to push you to try out expressions, structures, and topics you otherwise wouldn't do on your own. Natsumi san is a great conversationalist, who has a good sense of when to explain a word or concept that I'm not familar with. I am learning so much from our classes.

なつみ先生 is an excellent teacher! She is very patient, and explains everything in a way that is easy to understand. My speech ability was lagging behind my reading ability, but in just four lessons she's helped me make huge progress. I'm excited to continue our lessons, and I highly recommend Natsumi to anybody looking to elevate their Japanese speaking skills!

My first lesson with Natsumi sensei was very enjoyable. She let me explain in English where I am at in my Japanese learning journey, and she put me at ease with some basic speaking practice, explaining where I was making mistakes and helping with the construction of the phrases.
