Ciao! I’m Elisa, a TESOL/TEFL-certified English and Italian teacher with 10+ years of experience in helping non-native speakers achieve their language goals.
I specialize in helping adults (15+) master grammar, everyday conversation, and vocabulary—think idioms, phrasal verbs, and fluency boosts! My secret sauce? A multicultural background: I lived in the U.S. as an au pair, where I attended classes at Hobart University and Finger Lakes Community College, I speak Spanish (B1) and German (A2), and love weaving real-life contexts into lessons.
Whether you’re prepping for exams, work, or travel, I’ll tailor our classes to your goals.

We’ll go over grammar rules, do targeted exercises, and have focused conversations to improve your vocabulary. Or, if you prefer, we can just wing it and chat naturally! I can also assign homework to help you practice and reinforce what we’ve studied—this is key if you want to stay on track and make steady progress.
You’ll receive all materials by the end of the day (PDFs, PPTs, audio files, podcasts, etc.).

San Diego Voice and Accent - SDVA - 2023I studied American pronunciation, the IPA, how voice resonate in our mouth and how it is produced. My teacher was Julie Cunninghan founder of the San Diego Voice and Accent accademy. It's an online course in which you can level up your pronunciation skills.

學士學位 - ECONOMIA E GESTIONE AZIENDALEI studied Economics in order to become an accountant. I also had the chance to study both Business English and Spanish.
2008 - 2009
學士學位 - FOREIGN LANGUAGESI studied foreign languages in Verona for a whole year after have been in the USA as an au pair for six months. I studied both Spanish and English.

Elisa is an excellent teacher of conversation. She brings up new topics and does not interrupt the flow of conversation to make corrections but takes note of errors. I find this very helpful to my ability to converse. I enjoy working with her and learning from her knowledge of Italian.

I’m learning Italian from scratch. I’ve already had 4 lessons with Elisa, one per week. She always prepares perfect materials for each lesson. During the lesson, she explains grammar very thoroughly, then we do exercises where I get immediate feedback. The exercises we don’t finish in class, I complete as homework, and Elisa corrects them remotely. It works absolutely great and motivates me to study during the week.

Incontrare Elisa, dopo aver avuto una bruttissima esperienza con un'altra insegnate, è stata la mia salvezza. Non solo ci tiene moltissimo a far migliorare i suoi studenti e prepara per loro tantissimo materiale di studio, ma è anche gentile, empatica e paziente. Inoltre non da per scontato il fatto di parlare sempre in inglese, cosa che mi sta aiutando moltissimo ad immergermi e sforzarmi di comprendere e parlare io stessa in inglese. Infine, non per importanza, potete stare certi di sfruttare un'intera ora al meglio con lei! Non mi accorgo neppure del tempo che passa, perché Elisa sa davvero proiettarvi all'interno della lezione. Se dovessi consigliare un'insegnante di lingua inglese, non avrei dubbi a consigliare lei! ❤️

Non posso che ritenermi soddisfatta delle lezioni con Elisa! Insieme facciamo piccoli passi ogni volta e mi sento molto più sicura nell'affrontare gli argomenti dell'esame che stiamo preparando assieme. In poco meno di un mese, siamo già in pari con il programma e stiamo già affrontando il secondo autore di Letteratura inglese. Non potevo davvero chiedere di meglio! Grazie di cuore Elisa ❤️
