Lia Chapin

It’s been over a month since I started learning French with Lia and I’ve improved a lot. She explains everything clearly and keeps the lessons engaging and easy to follow. She’s supportive and adapts the lessons to my level, which really helps build confidence. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone learning French.

Lia is energetic, knowledgeable, attentive and patient. She is also a good listener. Every lesson with her is always enjoyable and fun. There is never a boring moment. Learning how to speak in a new language can be very intimidating as I often struggle to find the right words or phrases or simply don't know what and how to say in French. But in every lesson with her, I don't feel like I am struggling that much as she makes me feel at ease at all time. She listens patiently and guides me in every step of the learning process. I am really lucky to have her as my teacher and I highly recommend her if you are looking for a teacher that can help and teach you how speak French naturally.

I have taken 9 lessons with Lia and I am becoming more confident in speaking French. We even did some roleplays to prepare for my trip to France. Lia provides topics for discussion using Google Docs; with vocabulary, expressions, questions for discussion and suggested answers. Topics that you can discuss during your lessons. If there is a podcast/video that you will like to discuss in class, you can also send Lia the link and have a discussion in class too. Lia will accomodate to your learning style. As I am not a structured learning person, Lia will change her style and do natural conversations with me on top of using the Google Docs prepared, and she will guide me to use the commonly used French expressions whilst I am conversing. Lia provides a safe environment for me to learn French with her jovial personality!

Lia is very nice and calm! (Which is really important to me) Love how she takes the time to explain. I had less than the basic vocabulary before the class. She exceeded my expectations. Thank you Lia!

Great session! Lia was assigned materials in advance, which makes the lesson feel focused and efficient. She was patient throughout, never rushing me, and her encouraging attitude kept me motivated. Would highly recommend!
