Hello! My name is Altynai, and I’m an English tutor with an international academic and professional background.
I help students develop clear, confident, and natural English for conversation, university, and professional settings. My focus is not only on grammar and vocabulary, but on helping you express yourself comfortably and authentically in English.
I am a current English literature and Economics student in Los Angeles and regularly use English for academic research and professional writing. This allows me to help students move beyond memorized phrases and develop real fluency — the ability to think, respond, and express ideas comfortably in English.我的教學經歷
Having grown up in a bilingual household, I am used to communicating with people who are still developing their English. I understand the challenges learners face and know how to explain concepts clearly and simply, without making students feel pressured or judged.
Living in international cities such as Geneva, Switzerland, has also given me experience working with students from many cultures and accents. My lessons focus on conversation practice and high-quality writing support, depending on your goals.
For writing-focused lessons, I offer professional-level editing and feedback. I previously worked as a junior editor for Los Angeles Magazine and am a literature student, with extensive experience reviewing academic papers, college essays, and professional writing. I help students improve structure, clarity, argumentation, and style — while making sure their own voice remains intact.
Rather than simply correcting mistakes, I explain why changes are made so you can become a stronger, more independent writer over time.我的教材
