🌸Hello, I’m Misao!
I’m from Tokyo and now living in Hokkaido (Hokkaido is the northernmost region of Japan, famous for its snow⛄️⛷🏂).
I’m a government-licensed Japanese teacher 🇯🇵 with a background in business, university, local government, radio🎤, and farming 🌱🐓🥚.
While living abroad for about 4 years, I started teaching Japanese to friends.
After becoming certified, I’ve taught over 400 lessons on italki and other platforms, working with learners from beginner to advanced levels.
I’m passionate about skiing ⛷️ and love Ghibli movies 🎬 and Fujii Kaze’s music 🎶.

Today we did a lot of speaking and listening for self introductions! I appreciate how much listening and speaking practice we do in lessons because it will make sure I can actually use the grammar and words I learn in real life scenarios when I visit Japan.
