Matt|French Tutor 🎯

Matt is a great teacher! He gives you plenty of time to speak, asks interesting questions, and points out useful vocab / grammar tips. Highly recommend :)

I usually only leave public reviews after a month but Matt is the first tutor I decided to leave a public review for within 2 lessons. He is one of the best language tutors I have ever had for the following reason. I am an intermediate French speaker (around B1) and I recommend any intermediate speaker to sign up with him. • Conversations flow with him and he is a great listener. So you won’t have much problem if improving your conversation skills is your goal • He is proficient in English (basically native level) so switching back and forth or overcoming confusions is never a problem • His speed for providing and suggesting words is faster than with other tutors I have had • He is encouraging, welcoming and has a bubbly personality which are very important under the stress of conversation classes • He is focused on your errors and how to improve them which he showcases by through with you the new things you learned and your areas of weekends at the end of the class.

My speaking skills in French have improved a lot since the first lesson with Matt. I talk a lot and he remembers every single thing that I say and asks more about it immediately or in the next lesson. Even though we’re just having a conversation it is never boring. Throughout the week I can’t wait for the next lesson! Thanks to Matt, I like French more than before because he helps me speak fluently.

Another great lesson today! It was really useful, I always learn new words, how to improve sentences and pronunciation. In today's conversation we also planned our next lesson: we will talk about a topic related to my job. I can't wait! Thank you

The lesson went fine and the teacher explained things clearly. However, I was unexpectedly blocked right after the first class, without any explanation. I found this surprising and a bit disappointing, as the lesson itself showed potential. I hope this was just a misunderstanding, but I thought it was important to share my experience.
