Since 2024, I have been teaching Japanese online to students from all over the world. I passed the certification exam to become a professional Japanese language teacher.
I specialize in lessons for both children and adults.
I have completed specialized training in teaching Japanese to children and earned certifications as a children’s Japanese language instructor.
I love learning foreign languages myself, so I understand both the fun and the challenges of learning a new language. My goal is to create a friendly and supportive environment where you can relax, enjoy learning, and build confidence in speaking Japanese. 我的課程內容與教學風格
In my lessons, I focus on output practice and make sure students have many opportunities to speak. My goal is to help students produce Japanese on their own without relying on written text. I share slides with illustrations, and students create sentences and have conversations in Japanese based on what they see.
By using Japanese actively during lessons, you can naturally improve your conversation skills. By taking my lessons, you will gain confidence in speaking Japanese.

AJLC認定こども日本語指導者 - 一般社団法人国際こども日本語教育協会 - 2023As a professional children’s Japanese language teacher, I have developed the skills to teach Japanese to children from age 6 through junior high school.
I studied the fundamentals of teaching methods and lesson planning for children learning Japanese as a foreign language or heritage language through coursework. Based on this training, I completed seven practice teaching sessions and passed the final teaching demonstration assessment.

Already 6 months studying Japanese with Yoko sensei! One of the best things about the class is that Yoko sensei explains things and converses in Japanese as much as possible. Speaking and listening as much as you can in the target language is tough but will get you to your goal as soon as possible. Can't find a better tutor and class 😃

My 8-year-old daughter loves Yoko-sensei's lessons! Yoko-sensei provides kid-friendly lessons and tailors them thoughtfully to each child's needs. She is easy to communicate with, and her review documents are incredibly helpful for both my daughter and me. Her class feedback is always detailed and well-written. I highly recommend Yoko-sensei if you're looking for a Japanese teacher for young children!

I've had well over 100 lessons with Yoko-sensei now, and I'm very grateful for all the help she's given me, as well as the energy, enthusiasm and positivity that she always brings to our lessons.
It's been very useful to talk about a wide range of subjects - and has helped to improve my vocabulary and overall Japanese significantly. I intend on continuing to take lessons with Yoko-sensei regularly, and will continue to recommend her to friends that want to study Japanese.
