Hello! I'm Lana, a Korean teacher born and raised in Korea. I majored in elementary education and taught various subjects such as Korean, English, Science, and Art. I have also completed the Korean Language Teacher Training Program, known as KFL (Korean as a Foreign Language). With over 10 years of teaching experience in public schools, academies, and private tutoring, I'm passionate about learning and sharing knowledge. I have been involved in volunteering for Korean language education and participated in many language exchange meetups. I'm also a travel enthusiast who loves experiencing different cultures. Our lessons depend on your needs and interests.
If you prefer 'structured lessons', we can use a textbook and follow a curriculum covering grammar, vocabulary, and practical language skills. Moreover, I'll focus on 'speaking' using the grammar and vocabulary we've learned.
If you want 'casual conversation practice', we'll engage in authentic Korean conversations, where I'll correct any mistakes and offer suggestions for improvement. The aim here is to help you speak Korean naturally and confidently.

I have probably been taking lessons with Lana선생님 for about a year now.
Her classes are well structured and fits my learning needs. I have been able to pick up new Korean vocabulary and grammar points. Over time, I've noticed that I have gained more confidence in speaking more Korean, compared to English. I always have fun and look forward to her lessons.

I just had my 10th class with Lana and am already looking forward to many more! Lana keeps me engaged and speaking as much Korean as possible, and the hour always flies by. Even though my Korean is still limited, she makes me feel confident about what I do know, and the phrases I learn with her are super practical because they are related to my own daily life and interests. I also really appreciate that she provides vocabulary and “or” questions when I get stuck. I love Lana’s positivity and teaching style, and I genuinely enjoy spending an hour with her each week. We always end up laughing, and I finish every class feeling energized and motivated.
