Hello! I’m Marissa, a friendly English tutor from Philadelphia. As a conversation specialist, I help learners speak confidently—whether you’re chatting about travel, music, or daily life (I’m fluent in Spanish too!). I am an English teacher with experience working with learners of different ages and levels. I believe that language learning should be engaging and practical, so I focus on speaking, listening, and vocabulary/grammar that you can use immediately. My lessons follow a Presentation-Practice-Production format. This means that I will introduce material to you, we will practice examples together, and then you will be given a chance to use the material more creatively.我的教材

She was great! I struggle a lot with confidence when it comes to speaking English, but she creates such a nice and supportive environment that makes you feel safe to practice. She also helped me with business slang that I’ll probably use in my everyday work. Really nice class :)
