Shalom! 🙋🏼♂️ I’m Shai, a native Hebrew speaker from Israel 🇮🇱, now living in São Paulo 🇧🇷.
Learning a language should be fun, natural, and stress-free, and that’s exactly how I teach.

My lessons focus on real-life Hebrew: music, culture, slang, and everyday conversations.

For me, language learning should be fun, creative, and come from the heart.
I learned English as a kid through MTV and The Sims game, so I know how powerful real-life content can be.
As I learn Portuguese 🇧🇷, I understand the struggles of learning a new language and how important it is to feel safe and supported.
With a background in informal education and a passion for music and design, I create lessons that are personalized, fun, and full of good energy.

I enjoy his communicative approach, speaking Hebrew from the start, but always keeping the student in mind. Shai is brilliant tutor. He's great at keeping the conversation flowing in Hebrew while making corrections, and always sends a helpful list of corrections and new words after each lesson. He is also attentive in making sure the lessons fit my specific needs.

I've had a fair amount of lessons with Shai now, and he is a really good teacher. He uses a wide range of materials which help in different ways and my speaking has improved so much since I started learning with him. For the first time in years on my last trip to Israel, I actually managed to speak more than very basic Hebrew in places where there did not speak English. I'd fully recommend learning with Shai to anyone considering learning Hebrew
