Nice to meet you, my name is Kana.
I am a native Japanese speaker.
I was born and raised in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan.
Yamagata is the largest ramen consuming area in Japan and I grew up eating a lot of ramen since I was a little girl! 🍜I especially love Tonkotsu Ramen. Do you have a favorite ramen?
My hobbies are eating delicious food, watching anime and movies, traveling, and sports! One Piece, Haikyuu, etc
I love interacting with people from all over the world and hope that we can have fun together learning Japanese!我的教學經歷
I am a freelance Japanese teacher who strives to ensure that all students goals are met. I have a very friendly personality and am very flexible when it comes to scheduling classes. When I was first learning English, it was very difficult and at times I didn't feel very confident with my skills. However, I overcame the hurdles of learning a foreign language and now I feel confident in my abilities. Because of this, I feel that I would be a perfect teacher for you to learn Japanese since I know how difficult this type of lesson can be. My lessons are mainly conversation lessons. We can talk about anything you are interested in and any topics that you want. I'll guide and correct your Japanese as we go and ensure that you are fully comfortable with your speaking skills. My objective is to help you successfully reach your goals and feel confident when speaking Japanese. I strive to create a safe learning environment free of any judgement and highly encourage you to ask questions at any time whenever you do not understand something.

Kana-sensei is amazing at speaking at your level while keeping things challenging and interesting. I have gone from barely speaking at all to having long conversations about various topics. I always feel like I can sit and think about how to say things without any pressure as she will be there to support.
I tried many teachers but Kana-San really sticks out with how easy she is to talk to, get a lesson with her and you won't regret it!!

Kana is a fantastic person and a kind soul! I enjoy every minute speaking with her. I can see noticeable improvements in my ability to hold conversations in Japanese. I have been practicing with Kana for 2 weeks now and it has been the best thing for my learning journey. In 2 weeks she has given me the confidence to start using Japanese everyday. Her lessons help me with real life situations and I get to learn vocab and grammar that relate to the things I’m really interested in. She’s a great teacher and so friendly!

Kana-san is a super helpful teacher who creates lots of interesting real-world examples and is very kind, patient, good and careful about correcting grammar! Highly recommend her as a conversation partner and community teacher for anyone looking to practice their japanese
