Ruben really is an excellent and engaged teacher. He both focuses on the foundations of the language and weaves in your own interests. This makes it so that I as the student can feel confident and excited at the same time, which is the best motivator. I have been learning Spanish for 3 years now and while I have a good amount of vocabularly and grammatical knowledge, Ruben has indentified some basic areas that none of my teachers addressed (pronunciation, alphabet, specific gender agreeemnt). He is filling in those blanks for me, but without making me feel like I've done something wrong. Gracias Ruben!

Rubén is a great instructor. He is always attentive to me and I feel like he is passionate about how I’m processing the new material and he always wants to make sure that I understand fully before moving on to something new. He is a pleasure to talk to about what is happening in personal life as well as academic things (both in Spanish of course). He’s very patient and he makes himself available in between lessons so he can see my way of writing and correct me if needed. I’m so glad that I found him and want to continue my lessons with him.
