Kaori is an extremely engaging teacher who always caters to my interests. This means I'm always excited to have another lesson and learn more Japanese. I have tried allot of teachers on iTalki and decided to stick with Kaori as she's so easy to speak to and understands the usual pitfalls of learning a language. I always feel confident explaining my weaknesses and am constantly surprised when we return to another lesson which has been prepared to cater for those weaknesses. lessons are always a pleasure.

I used to just totally freeze when needing to answer anything in Japanese, but after 9 hours with Kaori sensei, I am enjoying trying to find the words from my limited vocabulary to try and answer her. I'm not yet able to conjugate properly immediately and answer in wonderfully perfect sentences of a native speaker but I am speaking and understanding soooooooooooo much more Japanese now compared to previously. It even helps me with grammar questions because even if I don't know the rule, I know what "sounds right" thanks to the exposure to the language i've had with Kaori sensei. I've had probably 10 Japanese teachers (6 in real life and 4 online) and none of them make me feel as comfortable with the language as Kaori sensei. I look forward to more Kanji tests! :D

Kaori-san is a skilled, patient, supportive, and cheerful teacher. I have learned so much, even though I seem to forget a lot also :-) Her explanations are clear, and her suggested writing topics are always interesting.
