I’m Maya, a Psychology student from Israel, currently living in Italy🍝.
I have spent the last two years traveling the world and have enjoyed it immensely, but now it's time to settle down and start studying📚.
Before Italy, I have actually lived in 5 other countries, including Singapore and Hong Kong.
I love yoga, playing the flute and drawing with watercolors.

I have been a teacher here on Italki for over a year, and I truly love it!
I’m passionate about sharing the beauty of Hebrew, an ancient language rich in history and cultural importance.
My background includes teaching in schools and kindergartens, as well as guiding tours across Israel for people of all ages, where I loved helping others discover and connect with this language.

My teaching style is centered around a personalized approach, as I believe every student has their own unique way of learning. I tailor each lesson to fit the individual needs and preferences of my students, ensuring that the learning experience is both effective and engaging. I’m really glad I found Maya and have the opportunity to study with her. We always manage to find common topics to discuss and she listens very attentively to my stories helping to develop them further and even sharing her own. This makes the lessons even more engaging. She has a cheerful and lively demeanor which makes our conversations enjoyable. It’s easy to communicate with her and she has helped me overcome the language barrier. Even with my modest level of Hebrew, I find it quite easy to speak with her. Her lessons are always interesting and she easily adapts to my needs as a student.

We learned about verbs today and Maya helped me recognize the common patterns for singular, plural, masculine, feminine, etc. She gave lots of examples and prompts to practice these various forms and I learned a lot! תודה רבה 🥹

My first Hebrew class with Maya was a great experience. She’s very patient, calm, and easygoing, which made me feel comfortable right away. I really appreciated how clear she was in explaining things and how she kept a nice, steady pace. She’s also very engaging and interesting to learn with. I’m definitely looking forward to our next lesson!
