Hi, my name is João. I have a degree in English and Portuguese, and I have five years of experience as a language tutor. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of working with students from diverse backgrounds and all levels of proficiency, from complete beginners to more advanced learners. I've been working with Joao since I joined Italki (July 2025); so it's been about 5 months now since I've first taken his class- I'm no where near perfect but I've come a long way with my conversation skills in Portugues and a large part of that is owed to Joao. This guy has the charisma and patience to make any beginner student feel like an intermediate student and any intermediate student feel like an advanced student.
I can't wait to see what some of our conversations are like in 2026 as we both continue to get better in our respective areas!!
