조선대학교에서 철학과를 전공하고 졸업했습니다.
-I graduated from Chosun University with a BA in Philosophy
친구의 권유로 학생들에게 한국어를 가르치기 시작했고, 3년전 본격적으로 다시 하게 되었습니다.

다양한 나라의 학생들을 가르쳐왔습니다. 그리고 학생마다 레벨이 달랐습니다.

-My classes don’t require a textbook.
처음시작하는 학생들은 대게 한국문화나 역사에 흥미가 있어 배우기 시작하는 사람들이기에 그들의 관심분야에 맞춰 가르칩니다.
-Beginner students are usually interested in Korean culture and history, so I tailor my lessons to their interests.
예를 들면 아이돌의 노래가사, 영화나 드라마의 대사. 학생수준이 높다면 대학교에서 배운 신문읽기나 글짓기 뉴스처럼 말하기등을 가르칩니다.
-For example, I use Kpop song lyrics and simple dialogue from movies and dramas to help beginners learn from material they enjoy. For more advanced students, I use articles, essays, and more advanced speech. When we use more lengthy material, I encourage my students to prepare in advance for discussions.5.0

This was my first time ever taking a chance on an unrated teacher and I'm so glad I did. Jon 쌤 has a really unique way of teaching focused on just following the natural flow of the topic or conversation. He would ask me questions, then based on that would find a topic and branch out from that, introducing new words and phrases. This was perfect for me because I sometimes still struggle with vocab even after 13 years of learning. I told him I especially wanted to focus on casual vocab and slang and he catered to this well. It was a really fun lesson and Jon is easy to talk to and honestly pretty funny. I'll be booking again right away! 감사합니다 선생님!
