IELTS Examiner and Teacher TrainerDuring my career at the British Council, I had a variety of different jobs in Hong Kong, Cairo and Kuala Lumpur. I worked as an IELTS examiner in many different countries including China. I also worked for the British Council's exams department, as a teacher trainer and as a corporate trainer.

TeacherI have been teaching on italki since 2020 and have developed courses for students studying IELTS. I have continued my professional development by completing qualifications at Cambridge University and University College London. Thx Joe very much. Today lesson is very useful. Because Joe explain to me the Hong Kong English teacher written the writing assignment topic is wrong, then Joe teaches me how to correct it. Thus Joe is a good English ielts teacher. He give me more confidence to practice the ielts.

I spent 8 hours in Joe’s classes. He’s a fantastic teacher. I practised IELTS with him, especially the speaking and writing part. Joe asked your plans and prepared well before classes. He would send you the materials you need in advance. As a former IELTS examiner, he gave really useful advices, such as the structure and the words. He pointed out my mistakes both in grammar and vocabulary, and told me how to improve them. He encouraged me a lot. Highly recommend Joe if you are preparing for the IELTS.
