Highlights: 1) native speaker, 2) lived in Mexico, 3) sE2200 microphone (professional-grade audio for your listening) 4) italki, Google Meets, Zoom, Discord A native spanish speaker born in Mexico who came to the United States about fifteen years ago. Currently living in Charlotte, North Carolina, and enjoying helping others learn a language as others have helped me learn English and now French. In my free time I produce music, watch Disney movies in French, or review restaurants as a Yelp Elite. Coming to the United States revealed to me the beauty in interacting with other cultures, and so I would like to create a welcoming space for anyone in the italki community as we learn languages.

我的教學經歷

From teaching others professional skills in my logistics career and from teaching guitar lessons before, I've noticed that I tend to be very animated with not just drawing boards but also with my body and hand movement. I like to visualize things for others and explain my logic on paper. I also like to mentalize and focus on listening first in order to empathize and create tailored content for the learner. I tend to be more of a positive encourager who softens his words than a direct feedback giver, which I recognize is a disadvantage at times, so I try to find the balance and provide direct feedback when needed.

我的課程內容與教學風格

I would like to make my lessons and approach more casual than serious as a community teacher. My objective is to make the learner feel like they are in real life with the language and help them understand the deviations of everyday language from the technical side of it. Essentially the lessons can range from casual conversation to in-role scenarios, as well as real-time guidance as we analyze movie scenes, books, or music lyrics to dive deep into the use of language. In short, I would like to provide a casual environment that still provides feedback on understanding the technical and everyday sides of the language.
