Olá! I’m Ryan, a TEFL-certified English teacher from the U.S. living in Brazil. As someone learning Portuguese (A2), I deeply understand the challenges of mastering a second language—especially conversation! My specialty is helping students speak confidently through real-life dialogues, blending grammar with cultural insights from my American roots. With a year of experience teaching locally here, I’ve honed a friendly, patient approach that makes lessons engaging and practical. I am from the south in the USA, and that means friendliness, patience, and hospitality in my lessons. I always try to make the lessons both fun and engaging, while bringing my culture and experiences into the lesson. I use a communicative style that is designed for students to use English inside and out of the classroom. Each lesson, I will have a conversation with you, and as needed go through grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation exercises. Then, you will have some out of class activities that are designed to make you interact with English between our lessons, and build fluency. Each week we spend time checking your activities, conversing, and exploring the English language as a whole. My lessons are highly engaging and tailored to your needs.
