Hello! I'm Chika, and teaching Japanese is my passion.
I've been an online tutor for a year, leveraging my unique background from studying abroad in China and Canada. Over ten years of parenting have also given me immense patience and the ability to explain simply.
My specialty is helping absolute beginners and anxious learners take their first confident steps. If you feel overwhelmed, don't worry—I can support you in both English (B1) and Chinese (B1).
I provide personalized, flexible lessons and am described by students as dedicated and approachable.

I’ve been teaching a variety of learners as an online Japanese tutor for over 1 year.
Although this is a new career for me, I take great pride in my work and approach each lesson with passion.
As someone who has always loved studying languages, I value communication and enjoy using both English and Chinese to support my students. I’m flexible in adapting to each learner’s level and learning style, providing personalized lessons that suit their needs.
Thanks to this approach, many students have described me as a dedicated and caring teacher.

In my lessons, we use the textbook ”Minna no Nihongo” to build up grammar step by step and develop a strong foundation in Japanese.
To make everything easier to understand and help you practice new vocabulary, I create original slides and worksheets tailored to each lesson.
I also put a strong focus on review and conversation, so you can improve not only your understanding but also your speaking skills.
You don't need to be perfect. We go slowly and repeat many times:)我的教材
