As always, I had such a great class with Hailey 쌤! She is a very attentive and encouraging teacher, and she is consistently both friendly and presents the materials in an engaging way. I especially appreciate that Hailey has very clear pronunciation in both Korean and English - it’s great for me as a beginner learner whose first language isn’t English 😊 Every class is tailored to what is relevant for me to learn, and it’s so motivating to finally feel like I’m actually learning to speak Korean! There is plenty of room for questions, and it really feels like the language is starting to make sense to me 💕 For anyone who is feeling a bit nervous about speaking Korean or learning lots of new vocabulary, I highly recommend Hailey 쌤 😊

선생님 Hailey is extremely thorough and explains how the grammar functions in Korean and not just what they mean. As an ESL teacher, this is important because translations especially between Korean and English are most often, at best, "equivalent" sentences. Because the grammar is so different, it can cause learning difficulties, so I personally find this very valuable. Her lessons follow a clear path with examples followed by speaking practice. She's super flexible, understanding and always open to questions throughout. She explains the contexts for grammar concepts which plays a significantly different role in Korean than in English. Her lessons are perfect for beginners (particularly native English speakers) and those who want a systematic, clear and simple approach, that provides guidance and direction for practicing yourself. She's also very warm and kind. The best part, however, is her intuitive and novel way of introducing Korean for English speakers that I haven't seen before. 💯

Hailey is a wonderful and fun Korean teacher! I really enjoy her lessons - they’re engaging, enjoyable, and I always look forward to learning with her. She’s patient, encouraging, and makes learning Korean feel fun and not boring. In only a handful of lessons I have learnt a lot!! Highly recommend her lessons! 🇰🇷💫
