In Japan, I worked as a certified nursery school teacher in Nagoya and as a crew member on the Shinkansen bullet train in Tokyo.

Child Care SpecialistDuring my fourth year of university, I studied hard to obtain a daycare teacher qualification and to work as a public nursery school teacher after graduation.
(I could have worked for a private one without putting in that effort, but I decided to put my energy into aiming for a higher career.)
I passed the exam and spent three years educating children aged 1 to 5, including those with special needs.

學士學位 - Child Care SpecialistI belonged to the Faculty of Human Care and studied child care for four years to obtain a daycare teacher qualification and a kindergarten teacher license.
Although it was not required, I also chose to take subjects to obtain an elementary school teacher license in order to pursue a higher career, and successfully obtained a total of three qualifications and licenses.

Chika is an amazing teacher. Her lesson plans are great and she speaks English very well which makes it easier to understand the differences and nuances between languages.

I really enjoy learning Japanese with Chika-san! She is very energetic and encouraging, keeping me motivated during the lessons! I like how she is also knowledgeable about language learning techniques and is very open-minded about it. She is flexible and adjusts her lessons based on your goals. One unique aspect of her teaching is she encourages students to think like Japanese people when speaking Japanese and avoid using expressions that translate directly from English; it deepens my understanding of how the language works.

I really enjoy my first lesson with Chika-sensei. I especially appreciate how she corrects me in a clear and supportive way—it helps me understand my mistakes without feeling discouraged. I’ve learned many new words and expressions, and she takes the time to explain meanings and usage thoroughly.
