As a Somali language teacher, I don't just focus on teaching the language; I also offer a window into Somali culture and traditions. Somali culture is rich with history, music, dance, and a strong sense of community. My priority as a teacher is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to learn and ask questions. I believe in adapting my teaching to each individual’s pace and learning style, ensuring every lesson is productive and enjoyable.

In my lessons, I focus on providing a structured approach to learning Somali, tailored to your level and needs. Since 2020, I’ve been helping students from beginners to intermediate levels understand the language’s core components, including the alphabet, pronunciation, grammar, and conversation. My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and adaptable to different learning preferences.
I use personalized resources that I prepare for each student, ensuring a unique learning experience. Lessons are enriched with visual aids for visual learners, auditory tools for those who learn by listening, and practical speaking exercises to improve communication skills.我的教材

I wanted a one-time 1-hour lesson just to learn a couple phrases so I could try to order a meal at the Somali restaurants that I will be visiting next week. I started at zero, knowing no Somali at all, but I came away feeling like I can go in and greet the owners and read a little of the menu! Fardosa’s explanations are very clear and organized, and she is lovely and warm. I really enjoyed the lesson; I just needed this little crash course, but Fardosa is such a good teacher, it makes me want to learn more.
