Positive and fun Finnish language tutor- for kids and grown ups I genuinely enjoy interacting with people and helping them practise and learn the unique and beautiful language that Finnish is. I have a warm and easy-going character and you will feel comfortable talking with me, even if you are shy or new to the language. When I am not teaching, you can find me in nature, doing sports or practising music. I am interested in several different topics and always willing to learn something new, so regardless of your background we will certainly find something that we have in common. :) I have been tutoring Finnish for the past 6 years. I am happy to accept both children and grown ups as my students, and I am comfortable teaching both beginners and advance students. I always maintain a positive vibe during the lessons, and I cheer you on during the moments when the Finnish verb conjugation gets overwhelming, or the Finnish words just seem too long :) I'll tailor all lessons according to your existing level of Finnish, and focus on the areas of your preference. I work with you every step of the way and support you through grammar, vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation, home work correction and exam preparation. Any questions are welcome throughout the lessons, and I progress at your speed, for the best learning experience for you.

Nelli is a very energetic and encouraging teacher. I really liked the way she spoke at an almost natural speed because that’s not what I can get from textbooks, and I need to get used to it. I wasn’t so confident about my listening and speaking skills, but I felt motivated when she gave me some encouraging words! I’m looking forward to learning more with her.
