🍀 Business English & Korean Specialist - Born in Korea, based in Sydney. After 17 years at a top Australian law firm, I now help professionals master Business English & Korean (taught in Korean/English/Spanish). CELTA-certified, I blend real-world expertise with empathetic teaching.
🍀 Multilingual & Culturally Savvy - Fluent in Korean and English, formerly proficient in Japanese, and conversational in Spanish. I’ve taught Korean to Spanish speakers and Australians for years. Language is my passport to connecting the world.

🌿 Experience in teaching English to overseas students and migrants to Australia.
🌿 Experience in teaching Korean as well as English to the native Spanish speakers during language exchanges for more than 4 years.
🌿 Experience in teaching Korean to Australians who are learning it through a Meetup group for around 15 years.

🎯 My lessons focus on speaking but I also help with vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening and writing depending on your language level, interests, motivation and preferred learning methods.
🎯 Language learning involves not only the language itself but also the culture, the food and much more so you will be introduced to histories, back stories or hidden facts about the language, the culture and the food.
🎯 A wide variety of lesson materials will be incorporated to maintain your engagement and motivation.
🎯 Homework will be provided to speed up your learning pace but it’s optional.
🎯 A 6 month learning plan (for beginners only) and regular written feedback will be provided.我的教材

Genie is a wonderful tutor! I have been learning Korean for about a year and this is the first time I have receive one-on-one feedback on how to improve my pronunciation. She goes beyond “good enough” and explains how to pronounce certain words to sound more like a native speaker. Not only that but this has widen my listening understanding skills as well. I wish I would have found her sooner!

It's been really nice to study with Genie over the past month or so. She's been great at understanding my current language level and tailoring my lessons to help me grow. Today, we talked about office acronym and office slang. They are very useful but it' a bit hard for me to remember because I am not used to them. But it was a fun class!
