My name is Paul, and I am an English teacher from the UK. I live in Dundee, on the east coast of Scotland and am a keen language learner. I speak Spanish fluently and am learning French and Italian on italki.
In my free time I love to learn about other cultures, I enjoy sport and exercise, and reading crime fiction both in English and in Spanish.
I have a background in languages, translation and international business covering the public, private and charity sectors.我的教學經歷
Language learning has been a part of my life for over 30 years. I understand the joys and frustrations that come from learning another language, as well as the techniques that make language learning a success. Every student has a different goal for learning English, and I adapt my lessons to meet those goals.
I have a university degree in Spanish and Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL), and a Masters in Translation Studies. I spent many years living in Central America and in Seville, Spain where I taught English to secondary school students and university students. I have also taught English and Spanish to adult learners here in the UK.

Learning a language can be so much fun, and because of that, I prefer a relaxed, conversational style of teaching. I want you to feel confident and motivated. I like to create an atmosphere where you can make mistakes without feeling embarrassed because that’s one of the ways we make progress.
Learning a language is also hard work, so I encourage my students to find ways to apply what they learn in their daily lives. To help with this I offer conversational practice on a wide range of topics or more structured lessons based on your goals.
In our lesson we will generally review your last lesson to make sure you have made progress and then discuss specific topics that interest you.我的教材
