🚀 Hello! 😊 I’m Minjoo, Your Korean Teacher!
I was born in Korea and currently live in the U.S. as a student. Before coming to the U.S., I also used online tutoring to learn English. I understand how challenging learning a foreign language can be, so I want to help you learn Korean in a fun and confident way!
You can expect student-centered and customized lessons tailored to your learning style and goals. My classes are engaging and interactive, designed to help you learn Korean naturally and confidently. I have two years of experience teaching elementary and middle school students at English and math academies in Korea. Since high school, I have also volunteered as an educator for about five years, gaining valuable teaching experience and developing a passion for education. I am dedicated to sharing Korean language and culture, and I have taught Korean to multicultural students as well as my American friends. My lessons are tailored to meet your individual goals, whether you are a beginner learning Hangul, an intermediate learner seeking confident communication, or an advanced student aiming for fluency through real conversations. I believe that language learning should be an enjoyable and interactive experience. My teaching style focuses on creating a comfortable and encouraging environment where students feel confident to practice without the fear of making mistakes. I tailor my lessons to fit each student’s unique learning goals and preferences, using practical and real-life scenarios to build communication skills. I also incorporate a variety of engaging activities to keep lessons dynamic and interesting. Es war meine erste Stunde bei 민주 und ich fühlte mich bereits nach ein paar Minuten des Unterrichts als würde ich mir einer Freundin sprechen. 민주 spricht schön langsam und deutlich. Sie gibt einem die Möglichkeit frei zu antworten und hilft, wenn sie merkt, daß man nicht weiter kommt. Nach dem Unterricht bekommt man eine Text Datei per Email zugeschickt, in der die besprochenen Inhalte wieder zufinden sind. Dankeschön.

민주 is a great teacher! She spoke clearly so I could understand and had prepared conversation prompts that she shared on her screen. After class, she shared the google doc with notes. She was super nice and a great teacher. I'm definitely going to continue learning with her!
