I’ve been learning Hungarian for over a year and I’ve tried everything from group classes, to self study, duolingo, watching videos…you name it I’ve tried it. Without a doubt, the thing that has finally taken my Hungarian to the next level has been lessons with Ferenc! He is well-prepared, focused, patient, and does an excellent job working through concepts and grammar points that are difficult for English speakers to grasp. I’m regularly doing three lessons per week with him, and I’m seeing the biggest gains in my pronunciation, which is something he really likes to focus on. So if your goal is to speak more fluently and improve your accent, Ferenc is one of the best teachers on italki for this specifically. Also he’s such a great guy to know, I look forward to every lesson with enthusiasm, which is super important for staying motivated and sticking with it long term. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll come away from each lesson stronger and more interested in Hungarian!
