I am a native Japanese born in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, currently living in Geneva, Switzerland. I am fluent in both English and Japanese and I plan to teach in both languages during my Japanese lessons.
For beginners, I find it best to start with basic grammar and vocabulary. For intermediate level and above, it depends on your preferences; we can focus on conversation or working on the JLPT exam, reading news articles together, etc.我的教學經歷
I am a certified Japanese tutor and have 8 years’ experience working as a program coordinator for technical trainees, nurses and caregivers from East Asian countries. I teach not only the Japanese language but also Japanese corporate culture.
If you are starting a new job with a Japanese firm, or have a temporary posting in Japan, I can help you prepare and acquire the language and other related skills necessary to succeed!
I not only have experience teaching Japanese to business professionals, but also to international students aiming to enter Japanese universities and small children. 我的課程內容與教學風格
I have:
- Over 8 years’ experience giving Japanese lessons
- Worked with children, adults, business professionals, foreign technical trainees, nurses and caregivers from East Asian countries
- I use “Genki” or “Minna no Nihongo” as the textbook for beginners, but an important part of our lesson is to encourage you speak.
- For young learners, I use kawaii (cute) puppets in the lesson. The textbooks are specially designed for children, featuring many adorable illustrations, making it an enjoyable experience for them. I also have a Japanese childcare work licence.

I would definitely recommend Anri-San for other young students and here is why!
I think that she really makes the lessons more personal and when we practice there is not one right answer like I am taking a test, but it is like an actual way to practice talking.
She also prepares subjects that are not officially in the method she uses but are about Japanese holidays or customs and they are very fun to learn about.
I think she really deserves more student because she is a really great teacher and a nice person.

Had a few lessons and really enjoying them! I'm a total beginner, but Anri explains everything clearly in English and adjusts the lessons to fit my needs. Also gives helpful tips for remembering words.

Anri-san has been the greatest help I could ask for in my Japanese learning journey. I tend to overthink minor points a lot and ask a lot of questions as a result, and Anri-san always answers whatever question I might have swiftly and clearly. She's been nothing but patient with me, and I look forward to every lesson. Cannot recommend her enough!
