I'm a teacher who listens first — to words and to silence. When a child freezes, I lower the pressure. When an adult nods but hesitates, I gently say, "Let me check that differently." I don't shame mistakes; I name them, learn from them, and move on. My small rule: if one student is confused, others probably are too — so I stop, re-explain, and thank them for asking. My goal is simple: leave every student braver with English than when they walked in — and willing to say, "Again, please."
