Hi! Ciao! Olá! ¡Hola! I’m Giulia, an experienced Italian and Portuguese tutor based in Lugano, Switzerland—though you’ll often find me traveling through Latin America! I speak four languages (Italian, Portuguese, English, Spanish), which allows me to fully enjoy every journey, immerse myself in new cultures, and connect with amazing people along the way.
I hold a degree in Social Work and love sharing my knowledge of Italian and Portuguese with students from all backgrounds. Traveling and learning languages has not only made me a better person, but also opened doors to experiences I wouldn’t trade for anything.

I’m a passionate, certified language tutor with 5 years of experience, especially gained through my work as an educator at the Red Cross, where I taught Italian to asylum seekers from diverse backgrounds. This experience taught me how to adapt my teaching to each student, creating lessons that are clear, practical, and approachable.
My students appreciate the clarity and informal style of my lessons, and being fluent in Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and English helps me connect easily whenever needed.

Giulia è un’insegnante di italiano molto disponibile e di grande supporto. Fin dalle prime lezioni mi ha fatto sentire a mio agio nel parlare italiano, anche usando solo le poche parole che conoscevo. Mi ha aiutato molto a migliorare la mia comprensione della lingua e ad ampliare il mio vocabolario. Anche se abbiamo iniziato a studiare insieme da poco, ho già notato alcuni miglioramenti, soprattutto in termini di fluidità e nella mia capacità di esprimere le idee in modo più chiaro. Inoltre, è una persona molto tranquilla e piacevole, il che rende le lezioni ancora più divertenti.
