Hi! My name is Marit:)
I'm a curious adventurer — you’ll often find me on the road, moving from place to place and learning about new people, cultures, and ways of life!
I practice yoga and meditation daily and I love spending time in nature. Free and scuba diving, (kite)surfing, hiking, and camping are some of my favourite things to do.
I also believe in slowing down and not always rushing through life — and I bring that same mentality into my lessons.
Whether I’m traveling or teaching, I love learning through connection, laughter, and real-life experiences.

I'm excited to share a part of my Dutch culture and language - especially because I’m usually the one learning about other people’s languages and cultures these days!
I teach English to local families while traveling, which has given me experience in teaching in the first place.
I like to keep the classes fun, playful and light. Something you look forward to, rather than something that feels like a must. Above all, It's a safe learning environment!
I prepare my classes according to your skills and knowledge and I document what we cover during the lessons. That way you only have to show up and enjoy the lesson :) 我的課程內容與教學風格
Every lesson is designed around you - your interests, your pace, and your way of learning.
Whether you’re learning Dutch for a specific reason or simply because you’re curious, we’ll create lessons that feel relevant, natural, and enjoyable.
In our lessons you can expect a mix of:
- Conversation practice
- Vocabulary growth
- Roleplays & daily situations
- Picture, story or short movie comprehension
- Language games & cultural exchange

Marit creates a good atmosphere for learning. We’ve been working on a topic for a few lessons and there’s time to go over new words and sayings. I always feel comfortable asking questions. Marit provides corrections after I’ve gotten a whole thought out. Next time we’re going to review words and sayings from the past several lessons, which I really appreciate.
