Hello! Nice to meet you. My name is Jae Young Cha, and I’m a Korean tutor based in Seoul.
I studied Psychology at UC San Diego in the U.S., and after graduation, I worked at the headquarters of H Mart, which is Korean Supermarket chain in the U.S. where I focused on recruitment and organizational development. Later, I joined a logistics startup in Korea as a Learning and Development manager, leading training programs for employees. Right now, I’m studying business at KAIST, one of Korea’s top MBA programs.

한국에서 고등학교를 졸업하고, 미국으로 건너가 미국에서 대학을 졸업했습니다. 회사에서 인사(Human Resources) 업무를 6년 동안 진행하다가 현재는 MBA(Masters in Business)에 재학중 입니다.我的教學經歷
When I was studying at a university in the United States, I had the opportunity to introduce Korean culture and teach the Korean language to American and international students.
In terms of teaching experience, I worked as a Learning and Development Manager, where I led in-house training sessions for employees on topics such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving. I also have experience teaching English and Math to elementary, middle, and high school students.我的課程內容與教學風格
In my lessons, I can help you learn not only everyday Korean, but also real expressions used in Korean workplaces, as well as insights into Korean culture and society. I always customize lessons based on your interests and goals. We might use YouTube clips, news articles, or real-life examples to keep it fun and practical.
Since I’ve studied English, Chinese, and a bit of German and Japanese, I truly understand what it feels like to learn a new language - the challenges and the small wins that come with it.
