Hello! I am Damla, a sociologist living in Türkiye. I truly enjoy exploring different cultures and discussing the similarities and differences between them. Learning about life from various cultural perspectives is a passion of mine. My native language is Turkish, and I use the Istanbul dialect in my lessons. My interests include tech, education, music, sociology, psychology, neuroscience, holistic health, art, agriculture, and world cuisines. This curiosity transforms our lessons into not just language training, but also a space for rich, meaningful conversation. I also speak English, which I can use as a bridge whenever we need it during our lessons.我的教學經歷
I received my training in teaching Turkish to foreigners from Ankara University TÖMER, a language center that holds an internationally valid qualification. As a new teacher on this platform, I bring high energy, meticulous preparation, and a deep commitment to each student's progress. For me, teaching is more than just explaining grammar; it is about being a cultural ambassador. I aim to convey the soul of the Turkish language along with its daily nuances and cultural elegances. I follow a student-centered approach, meaning the pace and content are shaped entirely by your specific needs and goals. Whether you are a beginner (A1) or an advanced learner (C1), I’ve got you covered. I use a communicative method to get you speaking from the very first lesson. To make learning enjoyable, I incorporate specially prepared presentations, current Turkish songs, online platforms such as Kahoot, Word Wall, etc., short news articles, and plenty of visual materials. My goal is to help you use Turkish naturally in real-life situations, not just in theory. Let’s meet in our first lesson and start your Turkish journey together!我的教材
