Hi, I’m Yuji, born and raised in Japan. I used to work as a professional subtitle translator.

我的教學經歷

Experience: I taught over 160 lessons in my first two months on another platform, thanks to my amazing regular students. What I enjoy: 🎸J-rock and R&B concerts ✈️travelling to Disney resorts abroad ♨️finding and visiting cozy and stylish Japanese inns with hot springs across Japan. 📺all-time favorite anime : ONE PIECE (ZORO is my sprit animal) 🗣️language learning: Learning English has always been fun and I'm interested in learning other languages, too (spoiled for choices, though!). As a translator, I adapted various English content into natural Japanese. I now use this skill to help learners start speaking Japanese naturally and with confidence, all in a relaxed atmosphere.

It's all about “co-action” -- a learning experience we build together✨ Mistakes and questions are all welcome! 🎯Absolute beginners (N5) We use the GENKI I textbook (3rd edition) as a solid framework, incorporating your interests to keep things relevant and entertaining. No rush. Let's start with warming up to the language! 🎯N2-N1 students Let's focus on real conversations. You’ll take your Japanese up a notch while receiving feedback on your word choice and pronunciation, helping you sound more native-like. ✅Trial lesson We’ll figure out your Japanese level and interests through a laid-back chat, and decide together how to proceed from there.
