こんにちは～🐼I’m Mei 🐼
I decided to become a Japanese teacher after reading NARUTO in high school (ask me the rest in class!) I’m a huge anime and manga otaku and love both classics and new series.
My lessons are for you if you:
Want to talk about anime/manga in Japanese
Feel nervous but want a teacher who speaks English
Are a beginner wanting to start from hiragana
Want grammar or pronunciation practice
Want sentence corrections with clear explanations
Or just want to chat in Japanese for fun!
About me:
From Kyoto, Studied in NZ & the US (5 years abroad).
I’ve taught more than 350 students, both online and at a school.
I'm cheerful, quirky, and love karaoke🎤,anime, and some American cartoons
For three years, I taught at a Japanese language school accredited by the Ministry of Justice, where I managed four classes of about 20 students each. Since 2020, partly due to the pandemic, I have been teaching Japanese online. (I've had 2500＋ online lessons with 160 students in total!) With over 5 years of study-abroad experience and professional work using English, I can explain even subtle nuances and complex grammar points in English.
I’ve taught complete beginners as well as learners from N5 to N1. With my experience teaching grammar and vocabulary at a Japanese language school, I can support students at all levels!
