Hi! I’m Melissa, a native Japanese speaker from Hyogo, now based in Canada. I love helping people feel confident and relaxed when speaking Japanese — whether it’s for daily life, travel, or business. I’ve worked as a marketing manager for over 7 years in both Japan and Canada, so I understand how important it is to adapt language to different situations and cultures. Outside of teaching, I enjoy visiting cafes, trying new foods, and exploring different cultures. I’m looking forward to chatting with you in Japanese!

I’m a friendly, patient tutor who believes the best way to learn a language is through enjoyable and meaningful conversations. My lessons are relaxed but focused — I’ll listen carefully to you, correct mistakes gently, and suggest natural expressions that native speakers use. Because I’ve worked in Japanese companies and have lived abroad, I can help you not only with language but also with cultural tips, polite expressions, and business communication skills. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to polish your speaking skills, I’ll create a safe space for you to practice and grow.

我的課程內容與教學風格

My lessons focus on fun, natural conversations so you can build confidence and vocabulary quickly. We can talk about daily life, travel, or business situations, and I’ll teach you practical phrases you can use right away. I explain in English when needed (IELTS 7.0 / C1), so beginners are welcome. If you’re interested, I can also teach Kansai dialect for a unique touch!
