Shalom :) I'm a social linguist (Ph.D.) and can help you to learn Hebrew as it is actually used. I'm a patient and friendly person, so you won’t feel tense during my lessons. I offer a systematic and comprehensive introduction to reading, grammar, communication, pronunciation, and listening comprehension (A0-B2). The course includes thousands of dialogues, audio files, exercises, illustrations, and gradually presented grammatical topics. Most of the materials are humorous, so you probably won’t be bored. If you don’t know the Hebrew alphabet, you’ll be able to read your first Hebrew words at the very beginning of the first lesson.

✅ Mistakes are not a problem, but a valuable experience that will help you to memorize different points.
✅ You are the one who is doing, talking, and reading. I'll correct, support, and explain, but 85%-90% of the time is your active practice.
✅ Sense of humor is an important part of my personality and may positively influence the materials and the interaction.

✅ The audio-visual integrated approach
The dialogues, texts, and grammar are accompanied by thousands of attached audio files and entertaining illustrations. The connection between texts and audio is absolutely essential for the development of pronunciation, speaking, reading, and listening comprehension abilities.
✅ Systematic, gradual, and comprehensive
This course is based on a national Hebrew teaching project and is probably the most systematic and comprehensive introduction available at Italki.
✅ Personal and Emotional Importance
We will talk about personally and emotionally important topics. New words and phrases are attached to "significance hubs" such as needs and attitudes我的教材

I've come to the end of a 15 class package with Arieh and I've booked another.
Arieh is very patient with my style of language learning. In our classes he lets me talk out the connections I see (and corrects me if I'm wrong), but also shares additional etymology of words and phrases. Working with someone who has a curiosity and knowledge of the etymology adds a lot of enrichment and helps me make connections and memorize new words.
I also find the classes go at a pace that works for me, I don't feel overwhelmed or overburdened by grammar or language information - but slowly, I am building up my vocabulary, understanding of Hebrew grammar, and am able to string some words together to form sentences. This is a great foundation to start playing around with having small conversations in Hebrew.
Language learning requires a lot of inputs, and Arieh has been a great investment on my Hebrew learning path!
