Hi there! I’m Niki, I have a mixed background and am a native speaker of both English and Japanese.

我的教學經歷

Because I’m a native speaker of both languages, my lessons are specialised in focusing on the nuance between the two vernacular. If you are a seasoned speaker of English, we will be able to learn some commonly used phrases in Japanese based on its grammatical differences and similarities to its English counterpart that you are familiar with in order to achieve a deeper understanding. I discovered this method of teaching through my experience of being an English tutor for Japanese kids for two years.

我的課程內容與教學風格

We will have lots of conversations. If you are a beginner, I will start by teaching you the material I have prepared for the lesson, such as “the sentence of the day” and some handy vocabs, and we will apply that to a simple conversation straight away. Once we have accustomed to the sounds, I will then teach you how to write those sounds out in Japanese. I will navigate you as you work your way through the fundamentals of the Japanese language at whatever pace you feel most comfortable with. もう少し高めのレベルの日本語を目指している方とは、もう少し深掘りできるような課題について一緒に会話をします。フレンドリーな会話を通して、流暢な日本語を目指しましょう。 Basically, if you are an intermediate or above level speaker of Japanese, we can be flexible and talk about anything!
