Hello! I’m Verena, originally from Germany and living in Switzerland. I’ve lived abroad in the UK and I know what it feels like to adapt to a new culture. I love languages, travel, and photography—because they connect people and stories. My studies in linguistics and literature reflect my passion for languages and communication.

I am a lively, empathetic, and well-structured teacher with more than five years of experience in teaching German as a foreign language. My students appreciate my humorous, motivating style and the relaxed atmosphere that helps them feel confident to speak freely. Learning should be lively, personal, and effective — that’s my goal.

My lessons are communicative, creative, and practical. They are fully tailored to your personal interests, goals, and needs. We learn through real-life situations, games and reading texts, grammar excercises, and lots of conversation. I choose the approaches that fit you best. I also offer test preparation & job application coaching.

I really enjoy my German lessons with Verena. The classes always feel comfortable and relaxed, which makes learning much easier. She explains everything clearly and in a way that really makes sense, even when the topic is challenging. We learn a lot of new things in every lesson from vocabulary to grammar and I can truly see my progress.
