TEFL-certified teacher with five years of experience tutoring online and in classrooms. Active as a writer and translator in addition to tutoring.
I was born in the midwest of the US, lived for several years in Hong Kong (which I miss every day!) and am now based in Vancouver. My beliefs and language skills are not shaped by any particular place or ideology.我的教學經歷
My lessons are structured but fun, not obsessed with getting every detail right! I look at overall progress. I prefer to help intermediate to advanced students, but am also patient in dealing with A1 or A2 learners. 我的課程內容與教學風格
I believe in an interactive style in which the student will be talking as much as possible. I ask a lot of questions and introduce vocabulary then motivate the student to put it to good use immediately. I put an emphasis on correct pronunciation and being understood.
