I am a 43 year-old Brazilian teacher and I live in Blumenau, a small city in the south of Brazil. I live with my husband, daughter, stepson and our 3 pets. After some years volunteering with stray cats and dogs, I've become a vegan. My life is very hectic, and I like being busy - although I usually complain about being tired. Besides being a mom and looking after my pets, I teach 2th grade at a public school in my city, and I'm taking my PhD in Gender Studies. I completed my master's degree (in Education) in the beginning of 2020. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, cooking, knitting and taking care of my plants.

- My teaching story began as a side hustle during law school. Unexpectedly, I fell in love with the classroom, prompting me to leave law school and pursue a degree in Education. Over two decades later, my passion for teaching remains unwavering. - With experience in various schools and methods, I've honed my skills to create a dynamic and enriching learning environment. - Teaching is not just a job; it's a thrilling adventure. TESOL Second Language Reading, Writing and Grammar - University State University - 2020I was introduced to some of the challenges of teaching and learning listening and speaking, such as paralinguistics, performance variables, reduced and regional forms, and differing types of oral discourse. Then I learned how to ease the acquisition of listening and speaking for my students. The course also highlighted the powerful opportunity to include pronunciation in listening and speaking classes and offers strategies to incorporate pronunciation activities.

Together with speakers of many other languages around the world, as well as with famous linguists such as Noam Chomsky and Adele Goldberg, I learned to understand and analyse how my native tongue is at the same time similar and different from many other languages. I learned the basic concepts of linguistics, got to know some of the key features of big and small languages and got insight into what linguists do.

Muito obrigado, eu gostei muito de sua aula. Aprendì muitas coisas como por exemplo a conjugação dos tempos verbais e a pronucia de algunas letras. Interesante tamben foram a cidades que você me fez conhecer. Tenho problema con o espanhol que me sai cuando falo. De qualquer modo, são sò dez dias de estudo, assim estuou muito satisfeito!
