Hi, I’m Alex Kim (London). I coach pre-intermediate/intermediate learners who understand Korean but freeze when speaking. We turn “textbook Korean” into real, natural Korean for travel, daily life, and work. ✨
🎯 Bespoke 1:1 coaching: In the first lesson, I pinpoint your blockers (hesitation, sentence breaks, word choice, pronunciation) and build a clear plan.
✅ What you get: Real-time corrections, Seoul-style everyday phrasing, pronunciation (final consonants, linking, rhythm/intonation), roleplays, and after-class notes with corrected sentences + key vocab.

I don’t have a traditional school-teaching background, but my strength is coaching built on real workplace communication. I’ve worked on projects with diverse teams where I constantly had to explain clearly, check understanding, and re-structure expressions until they made sense to the listener.
In daily conversations with international friends and colleagues, I’ve also helped learners with practical Korean: explaining natural phrases, correcting pronunciation, and improving word choice. I prefer simple, usable guidance over long explanations, using short sentences, repetition, and situational examples so you can start speaking right away. 我的課程內容與教學風格
I don’t just teach Korean. I build your reflex to speak and understand in real life. Each lesson is bespoke to your level and goal, so you can order coffee, make plans, and sound like you.
🌱 Beginner: Start even without Hangul. Pronunciation + rhythm, key phrases, then short speaking wins.
🚀 Low-Intermediate: Roleplays (café, directions, intros, making plans). Build: short → add a reason → ask back.
✨ Intermediate+: Free talk + feedback on nuance, tone, natural phrasing. Say the same idea in smoother ways, plus pronunciation/intonation if needed.

I had a great first lesson with Alex. She started by assessing my current speaking and listening level and then tailored the class accordingly. She focuses on speaking and building natural conversation skills, which is what I need. She is patient and approachable - taking as much time as needed to repeat things and answer all my questions. Overall she is a great teacher and I highly recommend her!
