Hoi! Ik ben Lodewijk en ik help je graag met de Nederlandse taal.
First of all, it’s wonderful that you’re learning Dutch! It can be a challenging language, but with the right guidance and encouragement, you can make rapid progress — and enjoy the process along the way.
I’m a native speaker of Dutch, English, and French, originally from the Netherlands and currently living in the UAE. I have a genuine passion for languages and for discovering other cultures through them.

Two core principles guide my teaching: self-confidence and progress.
I make sure my students feel at ease and comfortable when speaking Dutch.

Adapted to each student’s level of fluency, my lessons focus primarily on speaking through guided conversation. We discuss a variety of topics — from weekend plans to personal interests and passions — allowing the conversation to develop naturally while building vocabulary and confidence.
In addition, I may provide written and verbal assignments to complete outside of class. During our sessions, we review and correct these together, ensuring steady progress and clear understanding.我的教材

I'm really enjoying the lessons so far. My biggest issue at the start was to actually start speaking, since I put a lot of pressure on myself, but Lodewijk is super engaging and welcoming, so it's easy to start speaking with him.
He prepares topics to speak about, but also doesn't mind doing other things too no matter if it's answering questions or just talking.
I can definitely recommend him for anyone who wants a teacher with an easy-going approach.

Lodewijk is an amazing teacher! I really appreciate how thoughtfully he structures his lessons, always bringing interesting topics and a great variety of exercises. He creates such a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere that you naturally feel like speaking, which is especially helpful if you’re a bit shy about using the language. His lessons are dynamic, engaging, and always fly by. I truly look forward to every session with him!
