▪️ Hi! I'm Tomi. I'm a teacher, translator, interpreter, and now also a tour guide.
▪️ I love using my languages to learn, travel, and meet new people.
▪️ I want to master the 3 main descendants of Latin: Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian.
▪️ I'm from Argentina 🇦🇷, currently living in Australia 🇦🇺. You may find me teaching from anywhere in the world.
▪️ I'm finishing my translation 🌐 degree at FaHCE, UNLP (La Plata, Argentina). I'm most interested in legal translation and translation in the social sciences and humanities.

▪️ I can teach both kids 👧🏽 and adults 🧔🏻, beginners and advanced students, both in-place and online.
▪️ Think of education as "MOTION" on an infinite "field". You have infinite possible "directions" 🛣. An educator's role is to set you "in motion" and get you out of your comfort zone. ▪️ If you don't tell me anything before, during, or after the lesson, I'll take that as giving up on the lesson, I won't report a problem, and there will be NO REFUND.

I helped carry out several projects, from a football tournament to CV-making talks for teenagers. I also volunteered to repair public places.

TranslatorI am a freelance translator. I have translated mostly legal texts (birth, death, and marriage certificates, divorce judgments, contracts, education documents and diplomas, etc.), technical and scientific texts (in hard sciences, social sciences, and the humanities), and some literary texts (from different authors from English-speaking countries). Legal translation is my top specialty.

Tomás is a very good teacher. He is intelligent, kind, and encouraging. I like his willingness to help me improve within the structure of discussing topics that interest me, and I like his way of correcting the things I write. My Spanish is improving from working with him. It’s satisfying to get results from fun lessons which I always look forward to. His fluency in English is useful as well. I’d suggest working with Tomás on Spanish or English to anyone, but I can especially recommend his Spanish lessons to native English speakers.

The enjoyment of taking his classes goes beyond language learing and what impresses me more is his insightful opinions on multiple deep topics we discussed, such as education, gender issues, political problems and self-image.
