Hi, I’m Jan from Germany. I’m currently studying natural sciences at university and have a strong interest in languages and intercultural exchange. I’m a native German speaker, speak English at C1 level, and I’m conversationally fluent in Japanese. I’ve lived in Canada and Japan, so I understand what it takes to become truly fluent in a foreign language. Traveling and photography are two of my biggest hobbies, and I enjoy meaningful conversations about culture, science, and everyday life!

I know from personal experience that learning a language can feel overwhelming at times, so I focus on creating a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Making mistakes is part of the process, and I’ll guide you step by step so you can improve with confidence

I especially enjoy conversation practice, because speaking is often the most challenging part of learning German. At the same time, I help you develop an effective study strategy so you can learn independently outside of class. We can work on fluency, pronunciation, grammar, exam preparation, or professional communication
