Hello! My name is Joshua. I am 27 years old, from Germany, and have been living in Japan for the past nine months. I currently work as an English teacher at an after-school program in Takatsuki. I also have more than two years of teaching experience at a tutoring institute in Germany, where I mainly taught German and English. There I worked with students of different ages and levels. I also spent a year working in a kindergarten, which gave me valuable insight into early childhood education.
In my free time, I enjoy doing all kinds of sports, especially boxing, yoga and jogging. I'm also an avid reader of novels and love listening to history podcasts.我的教學經歷
As a teacher, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes. I believe that building confidence is essential when learning a language and I aim to support you in developing fluency and ease when speaking German. I am patient, attentive, empathetic and I adapt my lessons to each student's individual level, interests, and goals so that learning feels smooth and enjoyable. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style is very communicative. I encourage students to speak as much as possible while I guide the conversation, correct mistakes and explain useful patterns along the way. I enjoy helping students notice important rules and structures. I often use repetition and guided practice to help new vocabulary and grammar become natural. While I like to base my lessons on everyday conversations, I am very flexible. If you prefer, we can also focus on other areas such as writing, reading or we could do sentence building exercises. If there is something specific you would like to learn, I will do my best to create a lesson that fits your needs.德語課程
