Miya is always properly prepared for class and focused in on what I need to study. She always brings study materials and has several different ways of looking at the topic grammar or vocabulary. The class format is very helpful and informational.

I've been studying with Miya-sensei for one month now. I am a complete beginner and it seems I think I have found the best teacher for my case. We're following the Genki textbook, however Miya-sensei does not only focuses on the book exercises, but we also practice a lot pronunciation and vocabulary. Miya-sensei is always calm, patient and very attentive to all my questions and difficulties. I appreciate her professionalism and always look forward for next lesson. I highly recommend Miya-sensei to anyone who wants to start learning Japanese from scratch!

The trail lesson went over my goals and we introduced ourselves, but after that it got interesting. A mini lesson was presented and I was immediately able to talk a bit using what Japanese I already know. Great first lesson!

Miya-San is a fantastic teacher to work with. She has really helped me to focus on new goals and to help guide me in areas that I need to improve. I also enjoy chatting with her about various topics, and I feel further motivated to study so that I can improve and communicate effectively! Miya sensei is very professional with during lesson practice and follow up efforts. During lessons if I there is anything I don’t understand she gives a thorough effort to ensure understanding.
