Hello! My name is Lauren. I am from the United States and currently living in Colorado. I enjoy reading, hiking and drawing. I love getting to know people from different countries and cultures, that is why I became an English Teacher.我的教學經歷
I have been teaching English for over 10 years now. I have taught students from age 3- 65 years old. I believe that anyone no matter how young or old can learn a language if they find the correct method and teacher for them. I like to provide a relaxed teaching environment. If we are relaxed and having fun learning, retaining information will come. I love to laugh so be prepared to have a good time in my class!我的課程內容與教學風格
For new English learners I feel that starting with the past tense is helpful. We are constantly talking about what happened in the past. Using pictures and physical response also helps to solidify concepts in our mind. It is important to engage all the senses when learning and I believe this includes sense of humor! For intermediate to advanced speakers I like to select relevant topics from the news media and/or of interest to the student. I also help to prepare students for job interviews, teach about American culture, etiquette and American humor. No matter what level you are the most important is that you speak, speak, speak!我的教材
